The store is divided into the categories of Publications, Software, Recordings and Programs. All the categories and subcategories of items are available in the left-hand margin of the page. Click in any category or subcategory on the left to browse the items.

Your shopping cart is a place for you to store items you may wish to buy. Whenever you see an item you may want to purchase , click the button. You can always remove an item from your cart before purchase.

After you have finished looking through the store, or at any time during your shopping, you can go to your shopping cart and look at the items you have collected by clicking on the button in the navigation bar at the top of your screen. The shopping cart view screen shows all the items in your basket, the number of each you have purchased, the price for each item, and the total price for all the items in your basket.

When looking at your shopping basket, you have a number of options:

1. Remove item(s). If you decide after looking at the items in your basket that you do not want to buy some of them, you can remove those items by clicking the button in front of each item you wish to remove from your basket. You can then go through the checkout process or continue shopping.
2. Change the quantity of a particular item. You can change the quantity for any item. For example, if you have 2 items in your basket, but only wish to purchase one, the quantity will say "2." You can delete the '2' and type in '1' and then click the button to change the quantity back to 1. You can also increase or decrease the quantity of items you wish to purchase in the same way.
3. Learn more about the items. If you want to go look at the detailed description of any of the items in your basket, click on the "code" for that item, which is in blue and underlined before the name of the item.
4. Purchase item(s). If you want to buy all the items in your basket, you can proceed to checkout and purchase the items by clicking on the CHECKOUT button in the top navigation bar on your screen. For more on checking out, see the next section.

Once you have chosen your item(s) by placing it (them) in your basket, you may click the checkout button to complete your purchase (the button is in the right of your screen below the gray bar). You will then be taken to the purchasing section of the store. Purchasing takes place in a secure environment.

The items in your basket are listed for you and the individual prices and total are provided, including any shipping and handling charges. You then have the opportunity to supply your billing address and shipping address, if you wish to purchase online.

After providing your address information, press the continue button at the bottom of the screen and you will be asked for your credit card information in a secure environment. After supplying it, your information will be verified and you will be provided a confirmation of purchase. A receipt will also be emailed to you.

Buy Now - A Purchase Shortcut
If you do not want to use your shopping basket, and simply want to buy one item at the store, simply click on the button. The "buy one now" button is not available in all screens.

Simplify Checkout by Using "My Account" and "Log in"

You do not need an account to shop at the Bodhi Dharma Store. When you go to check out, you will be given the option to create an account, but if you do not want to create an account you can skip this step by pressing the link that says "Place Order Without Account."

If you shop here more than once, you may find it useful to have an account at the Bodhi Dharma Store. Whenever you order from the Bodhi Dharma Store, you have to provide your billing address and your delivery address. If you order more than once, it is cumbersome to fill out the form. You can avoid this by creating an account. If you have an account, the system will fill in your address information for you automatically.

Accounts contain only address and shipping information and are created and stored in a secure environment. When you create an account, you will be asked to provide a sign in name and password as well, so only you can access your account.

To go to your account or create a new account, press the button in the button bar under the gray bar at the top of the screen. You will be taken to your account if you have one (if you have an account but have not signed in, you will first be asked to sign in.) At the top create a user name and password, and then fill in the account information. Whenever you come to the store in the future, you can use the button in the upper right hand corner to immediately sign into your account and you need not fill in the account information again. You may also be recognized automatically based on a cookie left on your machine.

One other feature for account holders is that some items in the store are available only for approved purchasers. This is not a commercial determination, but based on your interests and background in the practice and educational path with which our store sponsors are associated.
